HE COOTIES + KATE BERLANT (Music + Comedy)
The Cooties, the musical comedy trio of Ethan Edenburg, Eric Jackowitz and Jacob Jeffries, plays the Satellite on Tuesday night at 9 pm. The show mixes music, songwriting and comedy and features special guests Kate Berlant, Steven Castillo and Josh Adam Meyers. Tickets: $8. Ages 21+.

EXTRAORDINARY: STAN LEE (Tribute) 
Nerdist’s Chris Hardwick hosts the special tribute event Extraordinary: Stan Lee on Tuesday at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. The event pays homage to the iconic comic creator, bringing together stars of the comic book, film and TV worlds that Lee has helped create. Expected presenters are Tom Bergeron, Lou Ferrigno, Todd McFarlane, Michael Rooker, Andy Signore and many others. 6 pm. Tickets: $95 for general admission to $350.00 for VIP seats and a meet-and-greet.

DOLORES (Film + talk)
There’s a special free screening on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. of the documentary Dolores, which tells the story of Dolores Huerta, who co-founded the first farm workers union with Cesar Chavez. Her story is often overshadowed, but Peter Bratt’s film brings her out into the spotlight. Huerta remains committed to the cause to this day, even at age 87. The screening is followed by a Q&A with Huerta and Bratt and a post-reception on the patio. Tickets: Free with RSVP.

THIS IS SPINAL TAP (Film)
On Tuesday, The Wiltern screens the cult classic film, This Is Spinal Tap, at 8 p.m. on Tuesday night. In addition to the film, there will be a photo booth, food trucks and a full bar available. Tickets start at $15. There’s a VIP Backstage Rockin’ Tour for $50 $30 that also includes a private backstage tour, champagne toast and more.

WET HOT ARAB-AMERICAN SUMMER (Art) 
PEN Center USA presents Wet Hot Arab-American Summer, a reading by Arab-American writers on Tuesday at 8 p.m. at CIELO Galleries in DTLA. Part of #90x90LA—90 literary and cultural events in 90 days—and in partnership with The Radius of Arab American Writers (RAWI), the event is hosted by Randa Jarrar. Featured readers include Laila Lalami, Stephanie Abraham, Conner Habib and Jennifer Jajeh.

BUMPERS PRESENTS: SICKER SADDER WORLD LIVE (Live podcast)
Bumpers presents Sicker Sadder World live at The Theatre at Ace Hotel on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Sicker Sadder World is a Daria rewatch podcast that “relives the nostalgia and messiness of high school, while exploring themes from the show that still resonate today.” Hosted by writers Brittany Ashley and Laura Zak, they’ll screen a selected episode and then invite guests, including writer and activist Gaby Dunn, to discuss. THE PLAYGROUND (Comedy)
The Playground is a new stand-up show hosted by Nina Daniels (IFC’s Maron) and Brianne Trosie (Funny or Die). This month, the show presents “Viral!” featuring Frankie Quinones, Moses Storm, Kurt Braunohler, Quinta B, Caroline Goldfarb and Charla Lauriston. Tickets: $8 in advance, $10 at the door.
